31 January 2014, 10:03
Cape Town - The main auditorium of the African Union (AU) headquarters has reportedly been renamed Nelson Mandela Plenary in honour of the late South African president.
According to the SABC, the struggle icon was honoured at the ongoing AU summit in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
The proposal to rename the venue came from Algeria and was adopted overwhelmingly by the house, the report said.
