Abuja - Leadership said the House of Representatives probe of petroleum subsidy payments indicted the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation, the Petroleum Product Pricing and Regulatory Agency and some perceived fraudulent petroleum marketers, according to the report released yesterday.
The blacklisted government agencies and private petroleum companies were therefore directed to refund the sum of N1.067trn to the federal government because the amount was drawn as subsidy funds without any corresponding petroleum importation.
The indictment would affect 15 companies, while another 18, including Mobil Oil and Ibafon Oil, declined investigation. The report also recommended the prosecution the affected companies by the EFCC and ICPC.
