Tortured Swazi gay student back home

15 November 2013, 15:29

Cape Town – A Swaziland gay student who was reportedly tortured by homophobes in Russia is back home, with a report saying a video of his torture, which was placed online, had gone viral.

According to an iol report, the student who was studying at Shukhov State Technological University in Belgorod suffered a lot of trauma and his mother said he didn’t want to be disturbed.

The student’s ordeal started when he was lured to a flat by his “tormentors” through a fake internet exchange convincing him he would meet a 15-year-old young man for a date.

On his arrival at the apartment he was allegedly attacked by the Russian anti-gay vigilante group Occupy Paedophilia.

The report said the video shows a clearly terrified young man being verbally and physically abused by his tormentors who also also mocked his skin colour and made him stimulate fellatio with a bottle.

An arrest warrant has since been issued for Maxim Martsinkevich, the leader of the group, the report said.
