New York - Shells hit a United Nations base in Sudan's
troubled South Kordofan state on Friday, killing one peacekeeper and wounding
two more, a UN spokesperson said.
"Two shells today hit the UN peacekeeping logistics
base in Kadugli, in Sudan's South Kordofan state. One United Nations
peacekeeper was killed in this shelling and two more injured. We condemn in the
strongest terms this shelling," UN peacekeeping spokesperson Kieran Dwyer
