Lagos - A Nigerian pastor and his brother, who run the Christ Freedom Ministries International church in Zambia, have been arrested for raping a minor, The Daily Post reports.
The pastor, Andrew Ejimadu, who along with his brother Cleopas, were the co-founders of the church, were now facing charges of rape of the minor, whose identity was withheld.
According to Pulse, Nigerian police deputy spokesperson Hamoonga Rae said in a video clip that the two suspects would be brought to justice.
"We will like to confirm that today, we have formerly arrested the child rapists who are Nigerian brothers in the state for allegedly having defiled a named female juvenile. They were arrested by the Zambian police in Lusaka for sexually defiling the little girl," Rae was quoted as saying.
The incident occurred between January 28, 2015, and December 31, 2015.
The two brothers were charged under Section 138 of the Penal Code of the Laws of Zambia.
These allegations came months after video footage circulated showing Pastor Andrew seemingly bringing a lifeless woman back to life - leaving his followers flabbergasted at the "miracles" witnessed before their eyes.
Images were also shown of the popular pastor's lavish lifestyle after he shared images of his expensive cars and houses on social media.
