Abuja - After a long wait, President Goodluck Jonathan on Friday formally signed the 2014 budget proposal into law, reports New Telegraph
The endorsement of the budget by Jonathan came a day after the Senate rejected an attempt to present another budget for federal agencies that were already captured in the recently passed 2014 national budget of N4.6 trillion.
The signing ceremony, which was held at the Presidential Villa before Jonathan left for Pretoria, South Africa for talks with African leaders on how to combat terrorism on the continent, was devoid of the usual fanfare.
The Appropriation Act was passed by the National Assembly several weeks ago with the President declining to assent to it.
