Six and half months into the current year, 40 insurance companies are yet to secure approvals for their financial reports for the year ended December 31, 2013.
The non- approval is a breach of the June 30, 2014 deadline set the insurance regulator, National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) for the submission and approval of financial reports for the preceding year, reports ThisDay.
Out of the 40 companies, 19 are at various stages in the approval process.
The remaining 21 insurers are yet to make initial submission of their 2013 financials to NAICOM.
