Lagos - Access Bank on Tuesday concluded a debt capital raising in the international markets through a $400m Eurobond subordinated Tier 2 transaction.
The bond, which is quoted of the US Stock Exchange, has a maturity of five years, reports ThisDay.
This bond, which is the largest Tier 2 issuance by any Nigerian bank, will provide the bank with the additional capacity to focus on its strategy and deliver superior returns to shareholders.
The $400m Eurobond, is Access Bank’s second visit to the international bond market coming on the heels of a remarkable $350 million five-year senior debt issued in 2012.
