Abuja - The Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) says it will carry out power maintenance projects as part of plans to address power outages at airports.
The project will resume at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.
FAAN warned passengers and airlines of power interruption on Friday and Saturday as a result of the repairs.
FAAN’s Head of Communications at the airport, Henrieta Yakubu, confirmed the exercise.
Several passengers were last week left stranded at the airport last week following a power cut that lasted four hours.
Similar incidents are widespread at other airports as power generation remains a major problem for Nigeria.
