Abuja - Reports said President Goodluck Jonathan may have tactically suspended the Minister of Aviation, Stella Oduah over the alleged N255m cars scandal, Punch reports.
A presidential source who made the disclosure said President Jonathan is not pleased with the manner in which the Aviation minister has reacted to the allegation. He further revealed that in line with this, the President placed her on 'tactical suspension'.
It was gathered that the President has barred the minister from attending any public event with him until the investigating committee inaugurated by the President concludes its findings.
The Bilateral Air Services Agreement was supposed to be signed by the Minister of Aviation in Israel, but President Jonathan asked the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Prof. Viola Onwuliri, to sign the agreement on behalf of the Federal Government
Oduah, who reportedly travelled to Israel to meet with President Jonathan on pilgrimage, has already been summoned by the two chambers of the National Assembly to appear and answer questions on her role in the purchase of the cars.
