Lagos - The pilot phase of the Bank Verification Number (BVN), which was launched two months ago, will commence in Lagos from May.
The scheme would initially begin in 1 000 bank branches in Nigeria’s commercial capital, reports ThisDay.
Isaac Okorafor, CBN’s Head, External Communication Department, said the apex bank intends to use the pilot phase to examine the feasibility and challenges of the scheme before rolling it out in other parts of the country.
