Enugu - Deposit money banks in the country have refunded over N13 billion to bank customers over breaches of agreements.
The refund was facilitated by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) as part of its responsibility as the regulatory body mandated to protect consumers of financial services in the country, reports ThisDay.
The figure was given by the representative of CBN's Director of Consumer Protection, Hajiya Khadija during the opening of a one week sensitisation of financial consumers in Enugu state
The apex bank said virtually all the banks in the country were found to have fleeced their customers in their transactions.
