Benin Disco pledges improved power service

17 January 2014, 17:00Augustine Osayande

Anuja - The Chairman, Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC), Victor Gbolade Osibondu, assured residents of quality and improved services delivery.

He disclosed this during a courtesy visit to the Benin Monarch, His Royal Majesty, Oba Erediauwa, in Benin City.

Osibondu described Benin distribution company (Disco) as one of the “luckiest” Discos in the country saying its location had a lot of favourable comparative advantage.

He solicited for the support of the monarch, the chiefs and people of the four states as well as his management team so as to succeed in delivering the service to the people.

He told the monarch that the company covered the four states of Edo, Delta, Ondo and Ekiti with a total of 744 750 customers across the states.

Osibondu emphasized that the company had six business units in Benin City, which oversaw a total of 42 service units and numerous service centres to carters for customers’ satisfaction.

“Presently, Benin City has the highest number of pre-paid meters in the entire country,” added the BEDC chairman.
