Lagos - A six year time bar on customers’ complaints has been imposed by the Central Bank of Nigeria.
The move by the apex bank is to ensure that bank customers are diligent in their financial transactions by making prompt claims on transactions as they occur, reports Vanguard.
Any complaint on any transaction after the time limit will not be entertained by banks and other Financial Service Producers (FSPs).
The time limit, however, does not preclude the right of a complainant to seek redress in the court of law.
