Lagos - Barely 24 hours after a Federal High court sitting in Lagos ruled that the suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi was illegally detained and his passport illegally seized by the Department of State Security Service (SSS) after his suspension from office, another Federal High Court has restrained the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FRCN) from investigating him.
The court presided over by Justice J.T. Tsoho in its ruling on Friday also barred the Council from conducting investigations into the activities of the apex bank, reports Premium Times.
The court mandated the Council to maintain the status quo until the determination of the suit filed by Sanusi against it.
