Lagos - A critical meeting between the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ibrahim Lamorde and the Committee of Chief Compliance Officers of Banks in Nigeria, is ongoing in Lagos.
The meeting, according to a statement, was necessitated by the increasing reports of non-compliance to laid-down procedure for fraud alerts by the banks.
The meeting is at the Colonades Hotel.
The EFCC executive is expected to discuss with the committee on new measures to effectively check non- compliance to fraud alert by bank officials.
The bank compliant officers are also expected to share their challenges with the EFCC.
The banks committee and the EFCC are expected to sign a memorandum of understanding.
