Warri - Electricity workers of Sapele Power Station have threatened to down tools over unpaid salaries by the new management of the station, reports Leadership
The workers under the National Union of Electricity Employees (NUEE), Sapele Station chapter gave the management a two-week ultimatum for it to pay them their outstanding salaries or they shut down the station, which currently generates 70 megawatts to the national grid.
The workers said the management of the station, Eurafric, should be held responsible for whatever happens after the expiration of the deadline as they are poised to disrupt work on the NIPP plant.
