Lagos - Etisalat has been the biggest gainer of mobile number portability (MNP) service with a net addition of 16 542 customers as at December 2013.
According to figures released by Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Etisalat received a total of 23 582 port-ins as against 7 040 port-out, reports ThisDay
Etisaat was followed by Airtel and Globacom. The two firms stood with a net addition of 15 186 and 9 830 subscribers respectively
The country’s largest mobile operator, MTN Nigeria, was the worst hit as it lost a total number of 29 457 subscribers, in contrast to only 7 875 that ported into the network.
