Abuja - To boost electricity supply in the country, four additional National Integrated Power Projects (NIPPs) plants would soon be commissioned by the Niger Delta Power Holding Company Ltd (NDPHC).
The four new plants are part of the 10 NIPPs being jointly constructed by the three tiers of government under the management of the NDPHC, reports Daily Independent..
James Olotu, NDPHC’s Managing Director, said they are presently testing all components of the four power projects for final commissioning and once completed, they would be inaugurated.
With the proposed commissioning of the four, this brings to six the number of plants already unveiled. Those already commissioned are the 434 megawatts (MW) Geregu 11 power plant and the 500MW Omotosho plant .
