Abuja - Over N1.9422 trillion has been spent by the federal government on fuel subsidy payment in the last two years.
A breakdown of the figure shows that the government has a budget of N971.1bilion for fuel subsidy payment in the 2014 fiscal year, same as 2013, reports New Telegraph.
The presidency is planning to eliminate fuel subsidy in the 2015 budget proposal but the National Assembly is insisting it must stay.
