Lagos - Mobile telecom operators are losing huge sum of money due to the ban on sales of new SIM cards by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC).
The ban, which was to last for a month was expected to have been lifted on March 31, reports ThisDay.
The operators are worried that they have already lost huge sum of money since the ban was imposed on them in February .
NCC had barred MTN, Globacom and Airtel from selling their sim cards for breaching key performance indicators (KPIs) and providing poor quality of service for the month of January.They were also barred from all promotions in their networks until they improve on the failed KPIs for which they are sanctioned.
