Abuja - Negotiations for Share Sales Agreement for the seven National Integrated Power Project (NIPP) power plants has commenced between the federal government and the preferred bidders.
The Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE), which serves as the secretariat of the National Council on Privatization would negotiate the Share Sales Agreement with the preferred bidders, reports ThisDay.
Once the negotiation is completed, the preferred bidders are expected to pay 25 percent of the acquisition cost within 15 working days from the date of the signing of the agreement.
The federal government is being represented in the negotiation by the Joint Transaction Board (JTB) comprising the National Council on Privatisation (NCP) and the Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC), owners of the National Integrated Power Project (NIPP).
