Abuja - The House of Representative Committee on Finance has confirmed receipt of Dr. Ngozi Okonjo- Iweala's response to its 50 questions on the state of the nation's economy, reports Leadership.
The House, however, accused the minister of acts of indiscretion by making her response public at a time the House was on recess.
The House noted that the minister’s response did not touch on the key issues raised, rather she tried to divert attention from the real indices that indicate growth of the economy.
Afam Victor Ogene, Deputy Chairman, House Committee on Media and Public Affairs, said the fact that the questions were given as a take home assignment showed that the House meant well but the minister’s response demonstrated that she was playing to the gallery.
