Abuja - The House of Representatives has raised a seven-man Ad-Hoc Committee to investigate Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) and the country’s petroleum minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke, over the alleged illegal sale of the Oil Mining Licence (OML 29).
The committee, which was constituted by the Deputy Speaker, Emeka Ihedioha who presided over the plenary session on Wednesday, is expected to establish the validity of the transactions and report back to the House within two weeks, reports The Nation.
The seven-member committee chaired by Aminu Suleiman has Babatunde Adejare, Irona Alphonsus Gerald (Binta Maigari Bello (Gombe, Ismaila Ahmed Gadaka , Umaru Haliru Aliero (Kebbi, and Sunday Akpodiogaga Emeyese as members.
