Lagos - Pragmatic Technologies, the established inverter firm, has accused its rival in the industry, Binatone, of false advertising.
The source of tensions is a recent advert placement by Binatone in the media which claims that its inverter is the "first in the region to have integrated AVR and UPS.”
Incidentally, these features have been part of the selling points of Cyberpower inverter since it hit the market in Nigeria more than five years ago.
“Recently, Binatone have been placing adverts in the media claiming to have the "Region’s first inverter with integrated AVR and UPS."
The above claim is false and misleading. Rather, CyberPower is the first Inverter in Nigeria to have AVR and UPS; Cyberpower has been in the market for the past five years and is a leading inverter brand chosen by discerning users.
The company insists that Cyberpower is Nigeria’s number one inverter in terms of features, quality and after sales services and we are committed to maintaining our premier position,” Pragmatic Technologies stated.
The company said such advertising was misleading.
“We find it necessary to set the records straight and ensure that the public is not misinformed,” Pragmatic technologies stated.
Binatone officials could not be reached for comment.
