Lagos - Kaztec Engineering has won a $84.5 million tender for Shell's major pipeline in Nigeria.
The contract is for the engineering procurement and construction of the Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company's Trans-Niger pipeline (TNP).
The deal was concluded in Port Harcourt.
A statement said Kaztec Engineering was chosen based on the strength of its recent track record of project delivery in the oil and gas sector.
The objective of the project is to construct a 3-inch, 58-kilometre loop line from the Ogale manifold to Bonny Terminal, in the South-South region of Nigeria.
Shell had been experiencing challenges with the current Trans-Niger project.
