Jalingo - Mr Hosea Danasebe, Chairman, Kurmi Local Government of Taraba, said the council was producing a documentary on the potential of cocoa to woo investors for large-scale production.
Danasebe told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Friday in Jalingo that the cocoa potential of Kurmi had the capacity of turning around the economic fortune of the state, if fully exploited.
He said that since the council alone could not exploit the huge cocoa potential in the area, a documentary was being done to expose it to the world to woo investors.
The chairman said: "We cannot fully exploit the cocoa potential in the local government without creating awareness for investors to come in.
"The documentary we are producing, will capture other key areas like the ailing Baisa Timber industry so that investors will clearly see the abundant opportunities in our area and come in to boost production."
Danasebe said that though Kurmi was a border local government, adequate measures were in place to ensure peace among the inhabitants.
