Benin - The Nigeria Labour Congress made good its threat to disrupt activities of some Electricity Distribution Companies (DISCO) over non-payment of entitlements to disengaged staff of the defunct Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) by picketing the Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC) on Monday.
The picketing took place in all the four states where the BEDC operates, reports New Telegraph.
During the protests, demonstrators prevented staff of BEDC, whose operations spread across Oyo, Ekiti, Ondo and Edo States from entering their offices as the gates to all the BEDC buildings in these states were completely sealed off.
