Port Harcourt - The Movement for the Survival of the Ogoni People (MOSOP), the umbrella body of the Ogoni, has raised an alarm over the alleged attempt by Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) to resume oil exploration in the area.
The group has warned that such move will lead to fresh crisis in the Niger- Delta, reports Energy Mix.
The group in a statement signed by its spokesman, Bari-ara Kpalap, said Shell’s current provocative incursion into Ogoni communities is threatening the current peace being enjoyed in the area.
The group urged Shell to pull out from all Ogoni communities and vowed to resist any attempt to incite the Ogoni people against themselves.
