Abuja - The first Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting after the suspension
of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi will focus on
key variables in the nation's economy.
A statement signed by Isaac Okoroafor, Deputy Director, Corporate
communications in the bank, issued in Abuja on Monday, said the step would
ensure effective monetary policy decisions.
It said the MPC would hold between March 2 and March 5 in Abuja.
“The meeting will review developments in the global economy as well as key
variables in the nation's economy,” it said
The statement said the Acting Governor of CBN, Dr Sarah Alade, would read
the decisions in a communique reached at the meeting.-
