Lagos - MTN Nigeria, the country’s largest mobile operator by subscribers, has signed a five-year managed services agreement with Ericsson.
Under the terms of the agreements, Ericsson will take over the management, optimisation and field maintenance of MTN’s network infrastructure in Lagos, Abuja, Enugu, Port Harcourt and Asaba, reports BusinessDay
MTN , however, has full control of its network assets and the responsibility for strategic design and planning, as well as equipment purchasing decisions.
Michael Ikpoki, Chief Executive Officer, MTN Nigeria, said the deal will allow the company to focus even more on adding value to the customer experience on its network.
