Lagos - The stock market showed signs of uptrend in May reflecting investor confidence in the Nigerian bourse.
The growth was also buoyed by the announcements of the first quarter results of listed companies, reports Daily Independent.
At the end of May, All-Share Index (ASI)closed at 41 4 7 4 .40 points. The index increased by 2 988.92 in May over the close of the previous month, which stood at 38 485.48.
The total market capitalization at the end of May also jumped by 8.07 percent to close at a new high of N13.694 trillion.
