Kogi - Kogi State Government welcomed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) it signed with Cannal Resources Limited for the conversion of solid waste to energy.
The project involves the generation of electricity and production of organic fertilizers from solid waste.
Kogi State Governor, Idris Wada, said that preparations had been put in place to ensure the project become a reality.
He assured that the state government would perform its obligations on the partnership.
The Governor stressed that the administration would also support the operation of the company in converting solid waste to wealth project.
Wada also noted that Jobs would be created for the youths who are willing to take up jobs in sectors different from agriculture.
