Mobile Money Africa promotes financial inclusion

Lagos - Stakeholders in the finance and information and communication technology sectors will converge in Lagos beginning Wednesday for the Mobile Money Africa conference and expo.

More than 40 speakers and 120 delegates from 35 countries are already registered for the two-day event scheduled for the Lagos Oriental Hotel.

It would be the fourth edition of the event.

The conference and expo will be held under the theme, "Promoting Financial Inclusion."

“The 4th Mobile Money Expo delivers two full days of top executives networking, cutting edge content from dynamic presentations and engaging discussions designed to address developments, challenges, opportunities and success stories within the financial inclusion ecosystem around Africa in 2014,” organisers said ahead of the event.

During the 2014 edition of the Mobile Money Expo, mobile financial services operators, remittance providers, agency bankers, application providers, regulators and other stakeholders, will share experiences in all domain areas of financial inclusion and other innovative practices that will improve provision and delivery of low cost banking to millions of people across the African continent.
