Abuja - The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) is yet to pay operating surpluses amounting to N1.44bn to the Federation Account.
The money was the agency's operating surpluses from 2007 and 2009, reports The Sun.
A breakdown of the unremitted revenue showed that the agency had a surplus due of N491.25m in 2007 but paid N64.05m, leaving a balance of N427.2m.
In 2008, the agency generated N857,132 million but paid N93 million, with an outstanding of N763.57m while in 2009, its due surplus amounted to N607.68m but paid N105m, leaving a balance of N502.68m.
