Lagos - The Naira on Wednesday remained firm against the U.S. dollar at the Wholesale Dutch Auction System (WDAS) of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
The Naira was traded at N155.76 to a dollar, the same rate it traded on Aug.19 at the 62th session of WDAS.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that this was the outcome of the 63rd session of the bi-weekly auction held at the apex bank on Wednesday.
The CBN offered $290.06 million to 17 commercial banks that participated at the auction compared to the 18 which participated on Aug. 19.
NAN also reports that the amount of forex demanded at WDAS was lower than the figure offered by the CBN.
