Lagos- A new exhibition that will bring Nigerian policymakers, farming and food businesses together with the best of the international agribusiness technology and investment community has been announced.
The event, to be called Agra Innovate, will be staged at the Landmark Conference and Exhibition Centre at Oniru Estate, in Lagos on November 18-20.
Afrocet, a Nigerian based conference, exhibition and training organiser and Informa, the largest publically owned exhibitions and training provider in the world, will host the expo.
David Ross, Project Director for Agra Innovate, said the profound reconstruction and modernisation of Nigerian agriculture President Goodluck Jonathan and Dr Akinwumi Adesina, the Minister of Agriculture and
Rural Development, are leading had rightly gathered respect throughout Africa and the wider world.
"Many international agribusiness organisations are now establishing or expanding their operations in Nigeria and partnering with Nigerian businesses to help accelerate innovation and share in this unfolding
success story," he said.
According to organisers, Agra Innovate will be constructed around issues critical to the sustained reform and reinvigoration of the Nigerian agricultural sector.
Agra Innovate will provide a concentrated community of policymakers, agribusiness leaders, technologists and investors with an environment where knowledge sharing, technology transfer and the development of new partnerships and business networks will take place.
