Lagos - The Nigerian government has cancelled its crude oil supply contracts with five of its West African neighbours.
New Telegraph reports that Ghana, Senegal, Burkina Faso, Sierra Leone and Ivory Coast were not included in the 2014/2015 yearly crude oil lifting contracts.These countries had for so many years been refining Nigerian oil in their domestic refineries.
The list, just released by Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) favoured Nigerian oil firms
With this development, these countries would have to partner with the local companies to access crude oil from Nigeria.
