Lagos - Nigerian can manufacturer, GZ Industries, plans to invest $100 million in a new plant in Kenya, reports BusinessDay.
The planned investment will cater for the company’s expanding interests in the greater eastern African region, including Rwanda, Ethiopia and Tanzania.
The 1.2 billion can-a-year plant to be built near the Kenyan capital, Nairobi will start operations in the first quarter of 2015.
Motti Goldmintz, GZI Chief Executive Officer , said the expansion is a way of contributing to the growth of the manufacturing sector and creating hundreds of jobs for Kenyans.
