Lagos - Remittances from Nigerians currently in the Diaspora to their relatives in Nigeria stood at $21billion in 2013.
The figure makes Nigeria the fifth country with the highest remittances in the world and first in Africa, reports New Telegraph.
Other top recipients for 2013 are India ($70 billion), China ($60 billion), the Philippines ($25 billion), Mexico ($22 billion), and Egypt ($17 billion).
