Lagos - Nigeria’s crude oil production may rise to 2.7 million barrels per day by 2020, blowing past previous forecasts, according to the Nigeria Oil and Gas Report published on Monday.
According to the forecast, natural gas production will see a stable growth. Between 2014 and 2020, production will grow by more than 30% to reach 2.70 million bpd by 2020, reports The Guardian.
Much of the growth will be .driven by new oil field developments like Usan Peak project and the Bonga fields.
Nigeria’s crude oil production is currently 1.9 million barrels per day.
