Abuja- Fears that the government may increase the pump price of petrol once again have been dismissed by the Federal Ministry of Petroleum Resources, reports Daily Independent.
Danladi Kifasi, Permanent Secretary of the ministry, described the fears has unfounded, warning those peddling the rumour to desist from passing such information which is capable of creating problems in the petroleum products supply sub-sector.
He stated that government would deal decisively with any marketers hoarding products, as such an activity could create artificial scarcity and hardship for consumers.
He noted that there is enough supply in the country, saying relevant agencies of government including the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC)have been directed to deal with marketers hoarding petroleum products.
