Lagos - ConocoPhillips and Oando Plc have set a new date for completion of the proposed acquisition of the Nigerian upstream oil and gas business of ConocoPhillips.
The new date for the completion of the acquisition is July 31, 2014, reports The Guardian.
The extension is to enable both parties finalise activities required to conclude the transaction.
The deal valued at $1.65 billion subject to customary adjustments was recently approved by the federal government.
