Lagos- Major oil marketers are backing government’s proposal to privatize the country’s refineries, reports The Nation.
Major Oil Marketers Association of Nigeria (MOMAN) said its members support Petroleum Minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke’s proposal which calls for selling off the four state-owned oil refineries, noting that it would make them operate efficiently.

While the government had taken a tough stance on the matter earlier, declaring to go ahead with the sale, it was forced to cave in under relentless pressure from labour unions.
