Lagos - The decision of the National Pension Commission to employ the services of recovery agents to go after employers, who fail to remit workers’ pension contributions, is paying off as it has recovered a total of N13.33 billion from defaulting companies
The amount recovered from these defaulting organizations included the principal sum and the interest payable on the sum, reports New Telegraph.
According to figures obtained from PenCom, 15 427 employers who had registered under the contributory pension scheme, failed to remit pension contributions to their workers’ individual Retirement Savings Accounts (RSAs)
