Port Harcourt - Crude oil refining has been halted at Nigeria’s biggest oil refinery, the Port Harcourt Refinery.
The shutdown became necessary because the products it has produced in recent time could not be evacuated from the storage tanks, reports BusinessDay
The closure was to avert any danger of either explosion or fire disaster in the company.
Products refined at the refinery could not be evacuated because the Pipeline and Products Marketing Company (PPMC) that was supposed to transfer the products from the tanks to the depots have been slow in doing that.
