Lagos - As the storm over the N750 fixed charge rages on, electricity distribution companies have made over N30 billion from electricity consumers in Nigeria as fixed charges from June 2013 till date, reports New Telegraph.
There have been wide condemnation by Nigerians over the introduction of electricity charges without improved power supply.
Electricity consumers have described the fixed charge as exploitative, noting that they have been compelled to pay exorbitant tariff rates for incompetence, poor service and fraud.
