Abuja - The recent exchange of words between the Coordinating Minister for the Economy and Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala and the House of Representatives Committee on Finance may affect the early passage of the 2014 budget proposal.
The committee has vowed not to work on the budget until the minister answers the 50 questions the committee gave her on December 19, 2013 on the state of the economy, reports ThisDay.
A member of the committee said the committee members will not take up the budget proposal, citing their concerns over the minister inability to respond to the questions even after sending her a reminder
He ruled out the possibility of the committee looking at the revenue framework until the minister responds to the questions in writing.
