Abuja - The House of Representatives Committee on Finance has put off the consideration of the 2014 budget revenue framework to commence hearing on the state of the economy, reports ThisDay.
The suspension is to enable the Committee conclude work on the state of the economy to truly ascertain the position of the economy and robustly engage the Co-coordinating Minister of the Economy, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala on her responses to the 50 questions raised by the committee.
The suspension will affect the appearance of some government agencies that were billed to appear before the committee to defend their budgets.
The Committee has, however, promised to resume consideration of the 2014 budget revenue framework on March 10, 2014.
