Abuja - Nigerians should brace up for another increase in the price of fuel as the Forum of Commissioners of Finance of the 36 states of the federation is campaigning for the removal of subsidies on petrol.
Timothy Odaah, chairman of the forum, said it is in the best interest of Nigeria that the subsidy regime be brought to an end because it creates an imbalance in the economy, reports Premium Times.
He said the scheme has failed to achieve its objectives, describing the payment of fuel subsidy as a scam against some states, especially the less industrialised ones.
